Spjarupgaard is surrounded by magnificent nature and offers the opportunity: to go fishing, to observe our rich flora and fauna maybe taking your own dog or horse with to go hiking, to hunt, or to just relax in peaceful surroundings. You may take the opportunity to stay overnight in our new log huts, which were built during the autumn of 2009, or in one of our guest rooms in the charming ancient farmhouse. The remodeled farmhouse has a big kitchen equipped with facilities like microwave, dishwasher, a dining room, a TV room and the old style reading and relaxation room. The farmhouse further allows access to a big garden with terrace and grill. Here you will find our 5 guest rooms, which are equipped to accommodate 13 people. Guest room 1 - Guest room 1 is a wonderful double room, which shares a hallway and bathroom with room number 2. The beds in this guest room may either be put together as a double bed, or be positioned as 2 single beds. Guest room 2 - Guest room 2 is a wonderful light room with 2 single beds. It shares the hallway and bathroom with guest room 1. Guest room 3 - Guest room 3 is a big family room with 1 double bed and 2 single beds. Bathroom facilities are in the hallway. There are several good put-and-take lakes near the farm. Approximately 1 mile of fishing opportunity along Egtved river. The river has a special feature, a 300 meters long artificial fall, which is one of North Europe’s biggest falls. It has the same type of fish as you will find in the brook. There are two connecting lakes covering a total of 15, 000 skm. In the two lakes you will be able to catch roach, perch, bream, tench, Crucian carps, carps, trout, goats and eel. When staying overnight during the deer hunting season, there is an opportunity for deer hunting. Gaffel deer and small roebucks may not be shot. The hunter is entitled to the meat. You can bring your own horse on your vacation. We have a big grass field, which may be divided, and two horse stalls. You may order hay and grain. Trails and roads are suited for wonderful horseback rides on farm. Further, there are trails leading from Bindeballe station and all the way to Vejle city. The terrain around Spjarupgaard suits particularly well for walking and training dogs. We ourselves own Labrador Retrievers and Jack Russel Terrier. Some of our rooms and one hut are even offered to dog owners. Further on some indoor and outdoor kennels are planned for 2011. Especially for retriever there will be training classes in future. With this offer we hold on to tradition having events with Danish retriever club at ours. Spjarupgaard has a number of surrounding hiking trails, and the ancient Danish road Haervejen (Viborg - Flensborg) is passing directly by. There is an old road through Jutland, come and discover its stubborn course, as the centuries have paved his way inside on the peninsula we call Jutland between twain have .
